British Indian 1907 Pattern Mk. III* Bayonet, Dated September 1942. Made in India sword bayonet for the .303 calibre Short, Magazine Lee-Enfield No. I Mk. III (SMLE) rifle, this example is not a cut-down Pattern 1907, but was made with a 12-inch unfullered blade in 1942, blade approx. 12″, O/A length 16.5″

Marked on the ricasso “GRI (George VI of India), Mk. II, 9, 42, RFI (Rifle Factory Ishapore)”, the leather scabbard is dated 1953
